Dear Business Partners,
the shareholders of EWK Umwelttechnik GmbH, LUEHR FILTER GmbH, Stadthagen and ZSCHOCKE B&V GmbH & Co. KG, Kaiserslautern have transferred all shares to Valmet Oy, based in Espoo, Finland, with effect from 30 June 2021.
On the part of the shareholders, this is a strategic and forward-looking decision in order to achieve the chosen path for a better market presence. The takeover will enable EWK to apply its experience in environmental technologies to the pulp and paper industry and to continue with waste gas purification systems for hot gas filtration in biomass plants.
At the same time, we would like to express herewith that the previous business fields in the areas of the wood-based panel industry, glass production, the glass and stone wool industry as well as the steel industry will continue to be in the foreground.
This is where our strengths lie and where we have decades of experience with our waste gas purification systems, water treatment and heat extraction systems. This is where we feel at home and where our developments and new patents are constantly being made.
100 years under the sign of environmental protection of the company founder ZSCHOCKE and 52 years as EWK-ZSCHOCKE or EWK Umwelttechnik.
This tradition continues with our new shareholder Valmet.
Valmet is considered to be one of the most traditional companies in Northern Europe with a focus on the pulp and paper industry, but also in the field of bioenergy plants.
The strategic orientation is aimed at expanding the range of products and services also at Valmet in order to be able to offer customer-specific solutions from our own scope of services.
We would like to thank all our business partners and interested parties for the trustful cooper-ation and hope that we can continue this together.
With kind regards
EWK Umwelttechnik GmbH
Peter Ohlenschläger and EWK team
